VIII Conference of Contemporary Arab Art:
“Art in Time of Variables” 21-23 April, 2013
Call for Papers

Faculty of Fine Arts, Yarmouk University organizes the eighth conference of contemporary Arab Art titled « Art in Time of Variables » to attract researchers in fine arts, design, music, drama and architecture. Both scientific and practical contributions will enrich the artistic knowledge and access the local community.
This call for papers is addressed to academics and interested researchers. Participants from other areas such as psychology, sociology, education, philosophy, criticism, literature, history, archeology, media, economy and graduate students are welcome.

3 – Design between creativity and production
4 – Sustainable design and development of environmental awareness
5 – Technology and multimedia in art & architecture
6 – Critical studies in western art
7 – Aesthetic education and receiver psychology
8 – Drama and contemporary changes
9 – folklore and traditional art
10 – Art and Media

Important Dates:
Abstract Due Date February 10, 2013
Acceptance Letter February 25, 2013 (registration begins)
Registration Deadline March 10, 2013
Full Paper is Due March 10, 2013

Instructions:
– Your abstract is no more than 300-word size 12, Times New Roman on MS Word.
– Author, affiliation, institution, email are listed on a separate page.
– Full paper is not more than 15 pages is due on March 10, 2013
– We use APA style format.

Conditions of Participation:
Your paper is suitable for one of our 10 topics.
It is supposed to present a new point of view.
You follow due dates.
You pay registration fees before the deadline.
Registration Fees:
– Non-Jordanians: $250, 3-day full-board accommodation, coffee breaks and publications.
If you stay longer, you pay your accommodation. A companion guest pays $150
– Jordanian-participants: JD 50 covers coffee breaks and publications

Entertainment:
“Art for All” is a students’ festival planned to welcome and entertain our guests after every day long sessions. We prepare art exhibitions, music concerts and drama performance.

Trips:
